Former Twins pitcher Frank Viola understands Twins' predicament

More a baseball related post but I noticed that Frank is working with Monavie so I thought I'd share ....

TwinCities.com - CHARLEY WALTERS:
"A year after Frank Viola won the Cy Young Award in 1988, the Twins traded the left-hander to the New York Mets. In return, the Twins received five pitchers, including Rick Aguilera, Kevin Tapani and David West, who helped them win the 1991 World Series. On Thursday, Viola was in Minneapolis for an endorsement deal for MonaVie fruit juice, and he was intrigued by the buzz that his former club is about to trade another left-handed Cy Young Award winner, Johan Santana, possibly to the New York Mets. Or New York Yankees. Or Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Angels or Boston Red Sox."

Inside Fanista

I spent a little time looking over the new Fanista site today. The site is still in beta and many of the promised elements are not yet active. Nevertheless, I enrolled for three reasons.

1. It was free!
2. I am genuinely curious to see how Alticor will make this profitable.
3. It was free!

Here's a little explanation of how members can make/save money from this service.

When you register for Fanista, you will have the opportunity to sign up for CIC, or Common Interest Commerce (you must be 18 years or older). The following information provides an overview of CIC.

What's this CIC thing all about?

Think about how much you and your friends spend on entertainment every year. Now, imagine if you could earn money - and even get discounts - on all of these purchases.

That's what signing up for CIC (much easier than always saying Common Interest Commerce) will let you do.

It doesn't cost a thing to join. There's no secret handshake. No meetings to attend. Just a chance to earn some money doing what you already do - sharing and feeding your passion for entertainment.

CIC earnings can come in three different ways:
5% of the purchases by people you refer
5% of the purchases by people they refer
5% discount on everything you buy

Offering the chance to participate in CIC lets us acknowledge and share the great value you and all our members help create. In some ways, it's like many other "refer-a-friend" programs you've probably seen. Only CIC goes much further, giving you the chance to build what is essentially your own personal entertainment business.

When someone you refer to Fanista first buys on the site, they will have a chance to enter your username as the person who invited them in. (You'll want to make sure they know your username before they go to purchase something.) This person becomes your "DownLink." You are their "UpLink."

Did I mention it was free?

Don't Send Your Ducks To Eagle School

This is one of my favorite sites. On more than one occassion I have used Josh's site as a springboard to tackle a difficult task, overcome a personal hurdle, or combat my personal procrastination.

Here's a snip of an article shared by Josh featuring another favorite, Jim Rohn.

Motivation Articles, Essays, Tips and Advice:
"The first rule of management is this: don't send your ducks to eagle school. Why? Because it won't work. Good people are found not changed. They can change themselves, but you can't change them. You want good people, you have to find them. If you want motivated people, you have to find them, not motivate them. I picked up a magazine not long ago in New York that had a full-page ad in it for a hotel chain. The first line of the ad read, 'We do not teach our people to be nice.' Now that got my attention. The second line said, 'We hire nice people.' I thought, 'what a cleaver shortcut!'"

MLM Prospecting ..... Who Do YOU Target??

Best MLM Resources:
"Find people that are already sold on the network marketing way of doing business? Does this mean we are going to flood Forums and online social networks with a flood of recruiting ads for our business .... and have them all come join us? Of course not. This industry is in constant flux. There are always companies doing well while there are constantly companies that are not doing so well. There are always successful team builders looking for new companies to work with. Why not find a way to work with these.

While it can be very tempting to continually share your product or business with your family and friends, you must draw the line at some point. Yes ..... it is a wonderful idea to promote something you feel strongly about to the people you love. BUT, that should not be the life-blood of your business."

How To Become A Network Marketing Business Megastar

mdreilvc: :
"We know that 5% of network marketing businesses succeed and in time people can make so much money that they qualify for being listed within the top one-tenth of one percent of all the earners in the world. So it is natural to assume that to grow your network marketing business to equal a global conglomerate, you have to be or become some super human-being. In most other occupations this is true. For example, take a look at the super stardom and super wealth of top athletics."

Follow The Leader

ArticlesArchive.net:
"Do we want to be taught, or be educated? (sounds too much like going back to school) Would we like to be trained? (like a new puppy or the new guy at work)?

Would we like to find a mentor, who knows more about what we want to do, and who will willingly share that information? Sounds better.

Or is a mentor, with the ability to lead us towards success what we really need?

Strong leadership."

The "networking" Part Of Network Marketing

Article Dashboard:
"Networking is obviously an essential part of network marketing. Every successful network marketer knows this to be true. Although networking is such an intricate part of network marketing, the two terms are not synonymous. However there are many similarities. Both rely heavily on people skills. Both require people to confront their fear of talking to other people. Both carry with them the risk of rejection. Both also carry with them enormous opportunity. And to some people, both are considered dirty words. "

Quixtar Supporters Caught in Active Information Warfare and Propaganda Campaign

American Consumer News:
"Quixtar and other multi-level marketing schemes often tend to draw strong emotions from people, either a person is an avid supporter or they think these systems are a total rip-off, and there’s not much of a middle ground. It appears that a group of Quixtar individual business operators (IBO’s) and other Quixtar supporters have gotten tired of all the people who tell them they do not want to sign up for their multi-level marketing scheme because of all of the information on the internet which suggests that affiliating with Quixtar might not be the best way to make extra money. This group has developed an information-warfare campaign on the internet and are actively working to discredit and criticize journalism which does not further their cause."

His goal was to provide high quality skin care products that were made of natural ingredients. He brought his dream to the United States in 1980 and has since introduced it to the world.

Morck hired a group of professionals, such as herbalists and chemists, to help him formulate a product that would be of superior quality. He tested his products on people who volunteered for the testing. The human testing was done in a very controlled environment with close supervision by professionals to insure no allergic reaction occurred. There was never any testing done on animals and no animal products are used in Arbonne skin care."

Helping your Downline -- The Key to YOUR Success

"In the world of MLM, it can sometimes feel like you are on your own. After all, it's usually done in the comfort of your own home, so you might not get the feeling of community you might from a traditional bricks-and-mortar company.

If anything, however, people in MLM companies are MORE dependent upon each other than in any other kind of business. MLMs are a living embodiment of the phrase, 'United we stand, divided we fall.' Unless you are only looking for a short-term return on your investment, you will need to make sure that your downline succeeds.

How can you do that? It's simple -- give them the tools you yourself used to succeed. This can take many shapes: "

Amway sales group facing Government closure call

Times Online:
"The British subsidiary of the world’s biggest direct-selling group may be closed by the Government as a result of an investigation into its business practices, The Times has learnt.

Amway, which has 12,000 agents in Britain and worldwide sales of $6.4 billion (3.1 billion), will face a High Court petition on Monday to wind up its activities. The group, which arrived in Britain in 1973, has been accused of being more interested in selling motivational books, tapes and seminars to its sales staff than pushing its merchandise.

The petition, brought on behalf of John Hutton, the Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform, seeks to close the company in the “public interest”. Mr Hutton’s department said that a review of Amway’s activities had been carried out by the Companies Investigation Branch."

Melaleuca Gives the Amway Treatment to “Natural” Products

Seattle Weekly:
"At the end of October, a post appeared on Craigslist asking for people interested in preserving the environment and maintaining a healthy, chemical-free lifestyle. And really, who in Seattle isn't?

But the ad wasn't for a product, service or cohousing community; it was offering the chance to, yes, build your own home-based business.

Multilevel marketing—the pyramidlike (but only like!) business model made famous by Amway and Mary Kay—has, inevitably, gone green. Melaleuca, a household-products company based in Idaho (named for the plant from which tea tree oil is derived) is actively recruiting in the Puget Sound area."

"Health care sales - During a short 9 month period, Mark Jarvis was making as much residual income with this low cost dental plan as many people earned working full time. It was surely a nice cushioning to the ups and downs of the car business.

What Mark found was that with this low cost dental plan, people were actually staying on the plan and he was getting a residual commission on these dental plan members each and every month. It was clear that the income had potential to stack up.

In a short time, Mark was earning over $50k a year with the dental plan sales and recruiting and that was with or without additional effort. Seeing that this had great potential, Mark quit selling cars and began selling the Ameriplan dental plan full time. He wanted to be able to retire quickly with network marketing and so he made clear and defined goals for himself. "

"I have been in network marketing for nearly a dozen years. A short time ago, I was working with one of the popular juice companies, selling the tiny red berry in a bottle, and a dream of financial security. In January of this year a devastating report on a Canadian news channel about the 'doctor' representing our company changed my business overnight. I could have carried on and worked harder, indeed that is exactly what I did for a bit, but it became more obvious over time that in small communities in Canada, where memories are long, and shared over the clothesline, I perhaps was not going to have an easy time of building."

Campaign Spending Sends Voters Important Messages

"When Risch announced Oct. 9 that he would run for the U.S. Senate seat now held by Larry Craig, he flew around the state on a Lear 45 owned by Frank VanderSloot, the eastern Idaho multi-millionaire who is CEO of Melaleuca, Inc.

Federal Election Commission regulations apply to borrowed airplanes. Risch is required to pay VanderSloot “fair market value of such flight.” VanderSloot told me he had billed the Risch campaign for just under $12,000. He knows precisely what he is and isn’t allowed to do with his airplane, quoting chapter and verse from state and federal election laws.

When Boise businessman Walt Minnick announced last week he was entering the Democratic primary for the 1st Congressional District, he flew on a five-seat prop chartered from SP Aircraft of Boise. Minnick told me the cost was about $1,500. He also knows the election laws."

Why Consider YTB Travel?

YTB Travel Blog:
"In the face of recent news, with YTB Travel losing their IATA credentials many people may be wondering why they should consider YTB.

A good question deserves a really good answer.

While losing the credentials can seem like a big blow to YTB, the truth is that a successful company is bound to run into bumps in the road like this one. YTB's legal department is working feverishly to get everything straightened out.

This is just my personal opinion but when companies begin to break new ground in an industry, creating waves (as Your Travel Biz has done) there are bound to be issues and problems which arise as a result of the change taking place."

The evolution of the CIO

CRN Australia:
"For Ken Harris, senior VP and CIO of Shaklee Corp., it helps that he works in a midsize company, and it isn't just the big-fish, small-pond factor. Harris, the former CIO of Gap and before that Nike, came to Shaklee two years ago, after the company was acquired by a private equity firm, to determine the role IT would play in helping the company 'become relevant again to a younger generation' and figure out how to get 'the biggest bang for the buck.'

What's different about this current position, Harris said, is that it's much more about strategy than tactics. 'I can help them make decisions that are doable from a technology standpoint,' he said.

Harris is a believer in software as a service, not only for the low up-front costs but also for the rapid deployment capabilities, having implemented several SaaS projects at Shaklee in the last two years, such as RightNow's CRM service, Web analytics from Visual Sciences, and address verification with the help of data services company StrikeIron, which customer service reps had been clamoring for. 'On the business side, users are demanding so much more, more quickly,' he said."

"Xango, a nutritional company, is always on the cutting edge of technology and research; they just launched a video sharing site called XanGo.TV. It showcases distributors lives, insights, and experiences with Xango. The purpose of the site is to give distributors a feeling of community...a sense of belonging.

It will give customers and potential distributors a glimpse of the person behind the replicated website; it also offers behind-the-scenes look into the company.

It's unusual to see a company such as Xango take the lead and offer their distributors a platform to showcase their business building tactics and offer advice to other distributors."

Amway has new product line: Hollywood

International Herald Tribune:
"'The distribution system for the entertainment business is broken,' said Daniel Adler, Fanista's founder. 'We're pioneering a new model.'

A newfangled Internet business pops up every few weeks in Hollywood and promises to revolutionize something or other, but movie studios and music labels are taking the upstart seriously.

Money is one reason: Alticor, the owner of Amway and Fanista's sole financial backer, says it generates about $6 billion in annual revenue.

'Those are awfully deep pockets,' said the writer and entrepreneur Norman Lear, who helped connect Adler with the direct-sales giant."

Set Goals For Your Network Marketing Business

Womens Articles:
"Very little in life is gained without setting goals. Paul Getty, a wealthy philanthropist and avid book collector, said long ago: 'In life, if you don't know where you're going, you're sure to end up somewhere else.'

Your goals for growing your network marketing business are the steps that will lead you to realizing your dreams and ultimately, your personal success. Success is built upon success. The level to which you succeed will be determined by the goals you set for yourself personally and for your network marketing business itself.

In order for your goals in network marketing to be attained, they must be: "

AkaRED choses Dream Team for associate training

PRWeb:
"The MLM industry has always focused on presenting the opportunity or 'pitching the sizzle not the steak' leading to a failure rate of more than 95 percent because the average MLM distributor can't perpetuate this hype. akaRED (http://www.akared.com), a new Tempe, AZ-based MLM company, has decided to change that forever by being the first to contract with a training company that is setting the MLM world on fire because it's training teaches the bottom to become the top.

'It just made sense. We produce a proprietary Super Functional Health beverage that is revolutionary in its' nutrient delivery and we wanted to offer training to our reps that allowed them to achieve equally revolutionary results,' says Steve Luke, founder of akaRED. 'The Dream Team is the first product based marketing training aimed solely at the success of the individual rather than techniques commonly taught that serve the company first. We believe in our reps and we believe in our product.'"

You are Being Lied to...And It's Costing You a Fortune Online

Article Nexus:
"Network marketing is tough and challenging especially when getting new leads. This is as the individual can only make more money by finding the right people who will exert the same amount of effort as one did to produce sales.

Some people believe that in order to get leads, one should have to pay a firm to get more clientele. A lot of these can be found in the internet who have served a number of clients offering services for debts, mortgage, surveys, interviews and investments to name a few.

The question then is how much does the person get back for paying a sum of money? The answer to that is very few. This is because even if the firm is able to give a hundred leads, there is not guarantee that the potential customer or recruit will buy the product or service offered by the person. "

Emerald Passport is Expanding in your Area

PR-USA.net :
"I get a lot of calls from people that ask me what makes a great business model and what should one look for when looking at all these companies out there. I think product is the main issue. If you are not marketing a product that you see value in or enjoy then the business probably isn't going to work with you. I think you also need to be involved in a Direct Sales model that markets high end products that have high profit margins. I firmly believe it is just as easy to sell at $1500 product than to sell a $50 product. The key is you must convey value. I think MLM is very hard to make a six figure income with. But it can be done, it just isn't for me. You need a down line of usually thousands to make it work. I also tell people to AVOID like the plague any program where you keep 100% of the profits. The FTC and SEC will eventually be all over that. That is nothing but a money game. It cannot be justified, you are admitting the products are worthless by selling them for the cost of commission the rep fully keeps. "

"In the past few days a lot of you have commented on Kim Klaver’s recent promotion of her new MLM company as well as her negative articles on other MLM companies.

But did Kim Klaver do anything wrong?

We’re all in network marketing right? Half of what we do is build relationships with people because what we’re really selling is our expertise. When someone joins our team they usually aren’t joining the company. They are joining us. They think we can show them how to make a successful business so that’s why they join us.

So we’re all in the relationship building business."

Company Profile: Sunshine Empire International

Corporate Website
"WWW=World Wide Web=World Wide WEALTH"!

Indeed, the advent of the internet and the advancement in technology has brought about a new era. Times have changed...it is the internet age now.

Firstly, traditional business models are now facing the fate of being obsolete and being replaced by new generation innovations.

In the very words of Bill Gates:"Either you are in the internet business, or you'll be out of business."

Secondly, in an increasingly globalize world, factors such as capital, demand and supply, human resource talents have evolved and face more competitive challenges. Physical territorial differences are now virtually diminished, creating a new world of opportunities, but on the flip-side, unparalleled competition.

This company does not operate in North America or Europe. I was driven to explore this company due to a recent post where the author states that Sunshine Empire is NOT MLM. Odd that the corporate web site notes that it's mission to become a premier Network Marketing company. Isn't the difference between Network Marketing and MLM purely semantics?

Joint memo from Quixtar and Network 21

Quixtar :
"The leadership at Network 21 continues to work with Quixtar to assure proper principles are followed when building our businesses. With the recent buzz over the term “stacking,” as opposed to proper depth-building, we felt it wise to again provide clarification on the differences between the two as well as some basic guidelines to follow as you build your business. Below is the latest position from Quixtar, and we believe you will find that what you have been taught, if followed, will lead to acceptable practices and a sound, profitable business.

Guidelines for acceptable business-building using a team/depth approach

“Stacking” is an unacceptable business-building practice. It is defined as the strategic and artificial structuring of an organization by an upline IBO who places new IBOs in depth, regardless of whether there are relationships between those who are sponsored and those who sponsor. It is a method of doing business that creates an imbalance in depth and potentially inhibits profitability."

"Today Shaklee is the No. 1 Health and wellness company in the U.S. I feel so proud and excited to be able to claim that fact. As a distributor, I’m at the beginning of what could be a great organization, my organization. Last night I watched the 50th Anniversary DVD that took place last year and it was so empowering. One thing that really got my attention and kind of made me silent with respect and amazement is this: The Shaklee organization cares about people of all backgrounds. That sounds a bit generalized, but it is a statement backed up by action. In the DVD you can hear Dr. Shaklee saying “we can offer you this opportunity. We are proud of the quality of these products, but you can’t just believe in the products or the compensation. You have to believe in yourself.” "

Leads and Your Home Business

Pre-Paid Legal Services...Your Respondsible Choice!:
"In business the most popular way to get business is to purchase leads. This is usually recommended by many home businesses up line. This recommendation is made by people who have very little knowledge of running a home business. Purchasing leads is not a good way to get customers. The best way is through referral leads.

Referral leads is easy and very cost effective. How is this done? Well anytime you sell to others it is always important to build a relationship. Make part of your sales presentation a presentation about how you develop your home business without advertising. Always ask your customers this question. Who are the three wealthiest people you know? Then when your existing clients give you the names ask if you can call them and use their names as an endorsement."

MonaVie- a Freakin' Religion?

Sports Drinks, Juices, Energy Drinks:
"Attention network marketers! You know who you are. You know this business, and you have attended an opportunity meeting or two. The other day, in the middle of an opportunity meeting for MonaVie’s Acaiberry drink. I stepped back and just watched. I saw the confident expressions on all the willing participant faces. Their emphatic applause imparted the hope that one day they would succeed. Hope that one day they would earn an income enabling their dreams to come true. In this relentless pursuit to self-reliance, I wondered how much money they spend, how much energy and faith exert, and how much time they spend for their network marketing careers.

The numbers do not lie. The vast majority of network marketing ventures end in failure (much like any business venture). However, few businesses create a following where meetings are more like religious revivals than training meetings. This MonaVie meeting was excellent. The speaker, an attractive master at his craft, could say no wrong. The faithful applauded loudly, hanging on his every word. He is the living epitome of success, and all watching apparently wanting to emulate him."

"Multi-Millionaire Founders Craig Garcia & Michael Corcoran announce a Brand New Marketing System that combines the direct sales arena with monthly residual income.

This new residual income factor will provide members with a monthly income of $15, $25 or $50 per personally sponsored member depending on membership level. The appeal of this new pay plan is proving to be particularly attractive to network marketers and MLM’ers and with good reason.

The monthly admin fees of EDC Diamond, EDC Gold as well as Easy Daily Cash will now split between the company and the sponsor. Thus allowing members to earn immediate income from each sale as well as a monthly residual income of up to $50 per month per personally sponsored member. "

Making the Presentation

Thomas Irwin Xango Blog:
"Making the presentation of your work from home network marketing opportunity work for a large audience is always a bit of a challenge for the average network marketer. Primed by the business’ nature to focus online on the generation of leads via the Internet, the individual is quite frequently woefully untrained in addressing a room filled with potential leads. Able to compose compelling emails, draft print ads that will generate a larger than average response, and having an intricate understanding of the advantages a product offers to the user as well as the seller, this same network marketer will not have what it takes to duplicate this kind of success in front of a live audience. Even as the reasons may vary, making the presentation of your work from home network marketing opportunity work for a large audience starts with a few well defined steps anyone can take.* "

Are You Aware that Network Marketing is about Selling?

I don't want to sell anything, I don't want to sell products. I don't have the skills to be a salesman... it goes on.

Thats all well and good but the blatant truth is that you are always selling--all day every day. You are selling yourself, your ideas, opinions and beliefs.

You can't help but to sell. The problem is in the word 'sell' has negative connotations because we are all tired of being bombarded with sales pitches and adverts."

My Beef With Multi-Level Marketing

I will change your life . com :
"Last year I had two different, and yet strikingly similar, experiences with Multi-Level Marketing (MLM). For those who don’t know, MLM (also known as Network Marketing) is a business model that combines direct marketing with franchising. In both instances, I chose not to become involved. In this article I would like to explain why.

My first encounter with MLM arose because a close friend invited me to a meeting to get my opinion on a business opportunity. As she later admitted, she was never interested in my “opinion”. Her mind was already made up about the opportunity, and this was just her way to get me to the meeting. Well she did succeed in sparking my curiosity, and since I had nothing else to do I went along. This first MLM opportunity was with a company called ACN and basically involved reselling the services of a telecommunications company."

A Review Of The CAbi Income Opportunity

I first wanted to know about Carol Anderson, the designer. She has been designing clothes for over 25 years with her personal touch. She is a designer that pays a lot of attention to the details and unique styling in her line of clothing.

She started in a garage in Burbank CA in 1977. She loved designing clothes and told some of her friends that she wanted to design her own line of clothing. She was then just out of graduate school when she and her friend Jan January put their $800 together and started a workshop in her garage. They believed that their concept would sell. They focused on great fashion, excellent fit and quality. "

The CEO's job is lonely and getting ever more difficult. When you take it to heart, it becomes your life, not just a job.'

Jung learned just how difficult in the fall of 2005. "YTB International (YTBL.PK) (YourTravelBiz.com) has a Market Cap north of $450 million with no current financials. Any stock that rises straight up 900% in two months is always an object of interest.

Add to that a publicly traded company based on a multi-level marketing scheme [MLM]. These are always intriguing because of the potential for Ponzi-scheme type abuses.

Add to that a publicly traded company that hasn't reported its financials in over a year: one that trades on the pink sheets because of lack of adequate financial reporting."

Network Marketing Habit For Success

Copy & Paste Articles:
"The Tell, Show, Try, Do principle shortens your learning curve so you feel comfortable teaching others how to do it. This creates the process known as duplication and passive income.

Creating passive income is not an overnight process. If you realize this and are in it for the long haul, you’re in great shape. If you’re want to get rich quick, it’s not going to happen that way. It takes time to build relationships.

Network Marketing is a people business and you should remain focused on the people. You are helping people by recommending a product or service. That’s why it is so critical that you fully believe in, use, and love the product or services that you will be recommending to people."

Life In Network Marketing

Work at Home Based Business:
"How’s your business going everyone? Is it steadily growing? Are you putting in time to make it grow? All businesses take work and the best way to work is to be “CONSISTENT”. Put in some time daily and work on building your business.

The sad part of the network marketing industry is that many people get started, do nothing, yet expect instant riches. They think it looks easy or someone tells them all they have to do is join, and so they believe them. Many start expecting to become free and independent, yet few finish. Those that are smart enough to stay the course and never give up are the true winners.

Winners know where they are headed and make up their minds in the very beginning that they WILL get there, and they will not quit. They have a true desire for success. Success for all is within reach, yet few are willing to put forth the effort. Often just when they give up, they were on the brink of great success."

Supplementation with quercetin has been shown to reduce hypertension in animal models, but until now has never been tested in hypertensive humans. This is the first published study to show that quercetin supplementation can reduce blood pressure in hypertensive adult humans. Additionally, it is important to note that quercetin supplementation did not influence the blood pressure of non-hypertensive individuals."

You could take your lap top anywhere with internet access, set up a table, and let people see if they’re getting the best deal or best phone for their money."

United Kingdom taking Amway to court

MLive.com:
"Amway Corp. is headed for a trial in the United Kingdom that, if it loses, could result in a death sentence for its multi-level sales business there.

United Kingdom regulators have told the company they will go to trial Nov. 26 in a case against Amway and a large group of its distributors over its business practices. The company expects the trial to last through December.

In a letter distributed to Amway leadership Friday, top Alticor executives Doug DeVos and Steve Van Andel said self-imposed reform efforts weren't enough to convince the government to back off attempts to kick the business out of the country.

'The (UK Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform) believes the best solution is to close us down in the UK,' according to the letter. 'That is unwarranted and unnecessary, and we will fight it in court with all our energy.'"

EcoQuest Officially Responds To Consumer Reports Evaluation

EcoQuest International:
"With EcoQuest’s mention in the December 2007 issue of Consumer Reports, some questions have been raised. This document is intended to address the content of the report, as well as provide access to additional relevant information.

It should first be noted that Consumer Reports did not speak to EcoQuest for comment, or to confirm the context or accuracy of their conclusions. Had they done so, they would have gained an understanding of our multiple technology strategies like ionization, the use and purpose of ozone and the “Away Mode,” and ActivePure (RCI) technology.

Independent University testing conducted over many years proved our ActivePure strategies vastly improved the indoor environment."

Comparing Eniva’s Vibe with other Juice Products

Eniva Vibe Blog:
"Health and well-being is one of the biggest growth areas in Network Marketing today. From healthy eating to exercise and nutrition, making sure you’re at the peak of well-being is now an important issue for people. This is particularly true when it comes to health drinks, or liquid supplements.

Although nutritionists advise you to eat so many vegetables per day, and have a minimum amount of fruit per day, it’s often easier said than done. To this end, health drinks and liquid supplements have become increasingly popular amongst people looking to lead a healthier lifestyle. Products like Eniva Vibe, Xango, and Ningxia Berry Young are leading the way in this field. But are all liquid supplements healthy for you?

When Nutrition is not 100% Nutrition"

IBOAI Board & Quixtar Partner for Success

IBOAI Blog:
"'This was probably the best Board meeting I've attended in 20 years,' said Jim Janz, Chairman of the IBOAI, following the Association's October Board meeting. 'Board members and other IBO leaders worked in real partnership with our counterparts at Quixtar and Alticor.'

Doug DeVos, Steve Van Andel, Jim Payne, Steve Lieberman, and other members of Quixtar and Alticor staff all made presentations and answered even the toughest questions posed to them by Board members on topics ranging from the future use of the Amway Global brand in North America to product pricing, QBI, and accreditation. Corporate reps, again and again, demonstrated a willingness to be flexible on both method and message.

'We focused on the solutions, and we accomplished a great deal that will be reflected in what all IBOs hear and see from Quixtar and from us in the weeks and months ahead,' said Janz."

Nu Skin sheds workers, shops

Salt Lake Tribune:
"Nu Skin Enterprises is cutting staff at its Provo headquarters and closing 67 stores in China in an effort to restructure and trim costs.

The share price of the direct seller of personal-care products and nutritional supplements was down by as much as 17 percent Monday morning after it announced its third-quarter results but moderated somewhat by the close of the market and finished down 8 percent. Declines in revenue in Japan and China as well as a $6.8 million spent for its international convention in Salt Lake City dragged down earnings below market expectations, the company said.

In a filing Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Nu Skin said its board of directors had approved a plan to increase profits in 2008 that included layoffs at the company's headquarters in Provo and in China.

Kara Schneck, senior director of corporate communications, said she had no figures on the number of employees to be laid off among the 1,200 in Utah but said it 'would be a very small number.' "

We'll Fix Any Wrongdoing

"In a CNBC Exclusive, Herbalife CEO Michael Johnson told Cramer that if his company is doing anything wrong, it will get fixed. Herbalife operates transparently, Johnson said, and is fully cooperating with the S.E.C. and investigating any claims against its operations in China. “We are not a company to hide anything from anyone,” he said.

Cramer remained supportive of Johnson and the stock. He told viewers HLF is “not for the squeamish” and should only be bought after doing the homework on the company and the allegations against it.

Finally, Cramer had a chance to ask Johnson if he would consider buying back stock in the company."

10 Secrets to Success in Network Marketing

Network Marketing Tricks:
"1. There are no secrets

It might sound like a cop out just to fill out this list but this point is key, there really are no secrets to succeeding with Kleeneze or any other Network Marketing business. All of the knowledge that you need in order to build a profitable business are freely available. Whether in books, at meetings, or from your sponsor, everything you need to know is there for you – you just need to know where to look and who to ask.

It continues to amaze me how, in this business, people are willing to help each other. You wouldn’t go to a Microsoft conference and expect to see an executive from Apple or Novell giving a talk. In Kleeneze however, cross network training is commonplace with the sentiment that ‘what is good for Kleeneze is good for the network’. This mindset fosters a real sense of camaraderie and team spirit which helps to drive the business forward. Information is freely available and so next time you want to know something just ask. Whether upline or crossline someone with more experience than yourself will be happy to give you the answers."

It is ironic that a site named Network Marketing Tricks would be the source to tell us there are no secrets to becoming successful in Network Marketing.

New online products downplay Amway

mlive.com:
"The introduction comes after years of being tagged as a company where selling products is secondary to selling 'the opportunity.'

'We fashioned these products based on taste first,' said John Stecco, team leader for the product launch. 'This is something that is designed to be surprising.

'We designed them so the reaction is, 'OK, this is good for me?' '

By cutting the clutter, Amway and its online Quixtar counterpart hope to get people who may have never heard of the company to try something new."

How will Crave break into the huge energy drink market

Crave Energy Drink Weblog:
"The big problem concerning the hundreds of companies out there is distribution, and this is where Crave’s company, Vitamark International, have a huge advantage. None of these other companies can go nationwide or global overnight. A company that wants to sell its product in all 50 states of America needs between 250 and 300 distributors. Building those relationships remains a challenge for small companies: Go Fast! currently has about 25 distributors, and Crunk!!!, which started less than a year ago, has only six, mostly in the South and New York."
