Marketing company wants to put headquarters in old CTC building

"LKN Communications has been identified through a Cabarrus County legal advertisement as ACN, an international network marketing, telecommunications company - which uses marketing methods similar to that of Amway Corp.

Those marketing methods use independent individuals from the community to market their products as for “one of the more remarkable income-generating opportunities available in the world today,” according to the ACN Web site.

“They don’t do advertisements,” said County Manager John Day, who has met with ACN officials. “They rely on what they said were ‘friends and family’ for marketing purposes.”"
