Nature's Sunshine shows quarter loss

Salt Lake Tribune:
"Beleaguered Nature's Sunshine Products, Inc., of Provo on Friday released financial results showing an operating loss for the quarter that ended Sept. 30.

But the company cautioned that its financial results still had not been audited by an independent accounting firm and that it did not know when its auditor, Deloitte & Touche, would be ready with a restatement of its financial statements for 2004 through 2006.

In November, an administrative law judge issued an initial decision revoking the registration of the company's common stock. The Securities and Exchange Commission is now reviewing that decision at the company's request.

In a lawsuit, investors are charging that company officials made false statements about the company's business and financial results that caused its stock to trade at artificially high prices when it reached $23.24 a share on Sept. 30, 2005. The company's stock was trading at $9.50 on Friday."
